HOLIDAY'S
God's Holy-Days or Man's Pagan Holidays?

Have you ever questioned the days we celebrate as holidays in Christianity?  Does it make much difference which days we observe--or whether we faithfully keep them or not?  Does the Bible clearly establish those days and does it clarify which days are pagan?  Does the Bible differentiate holy days to be kept unto God from Israel to our current Christian culture?

Daniel 7:24-25 " And the ten horns out of this Kingdom are ten kings that shall rise: and another shall rise after them, and shall be unlike to the first, and shall subdue three Kings. And shall speak words against the most High, and shall consume the Saints of the most High, and think that he may change times and laws, and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing time."

Daniel was given these "visions" by God long before John was given the visions of Revelation.  However, another reference to the same power is mentioned in Revelation 17. Revelation 11:8 says

" And their corpses shall lie in the streets of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord also was crucified."  Also 14:8 says " And there followed another Angel, saying, Babylon that great city if fallen, it is fallen, for she made all nations to drink the wine of the wrath of her fornication"

Ancient Babylon in Mespotamia was the political, commercial and religious center of the world in that time.  It is commonly understood to represent the whole political and religious system of the world by most within the Christian community.  There can be a plathera of assumptions regarding what this "great city" represents in these passages but leave no mistake, it is present and working in our world today.  If you faithfully follow history (an undeniable truth) and carefully study its occurences, you will notice a disturbing pattern closely mirroring the history of the Roman empire itself begin to emerge interestingly in the Roman Caholic Church or more commonly understood by most as just the Catholic Church.  Although history eventually leads up to our current multi-denominational church structure, clearly the Catholic Church can be objectively regarded as the most influentiual of all church structures, least the most powerful one.  The Vatican sits in the center of the world exerting limitless power and worldwide influence unrivaled by any other government or religious organization.  Is it even debatible to the legitimacy of its position in the world order?  Some say no, some say yes.  I will leave your conclusion up to your perception of the world's history.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 says, "This know also, that in the last days shall come perilous times. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, cursed speakers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, no lovers at all of them which are good,Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, Having a show of godliness, but have denied the power thereof: 1turn away therefore from such. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive simple women laden with sins, and led with divers lusts,  Which women are ever learning, and are neverable to come to the acknowledging of the truth."

Should we then find it at all confusing or difficult to believe that it could be the very people who claim to "know the truth?"  Before you read any further, reread the passage above from 2 Timothy 3:1-7 slowly and absorb it for a few minutes.  You will notice its content begin to closely resemble certain people you might have already encountered.  You may even receive inspiration or confirmation from the Holy Spirit.  Whichever it is, be sure to keep this passage close to your heart and deeply sealed in your mind for further reference in the near future.
